Publishing Transaction Solution (PTS)

If you own, distribute, or otherwise manage music copyrights and licenses, managing that intellectual property is the center of your company’s revenue. The Publishing Transaction Solution (PTS) product, a part of the AccessIT suite of enterprise IP asset management software, makes the details of administration accurate, easy and efficient.

PTS software provides:

  • Royalty tracking and processing so you know exactly what royalties must be paid and what royalty revenue is coming in
  • Standard registration forms to easily and automatically fulfill industry legal requirements
  • Status reports to keep you up-to-date on the administration processes for each piece of music
  • Song catalogs for tracking all copyrighted and licensed songs, demos, and master recordings
  • Subpublishing process administration to keep track of all those pieces of property you don’t directly manage

PTS holds all your song information, including the writers, publishers, royalty payees, and other income participants. For each type of participation in the song’s license or copyright, an unlimited number of writers, publishers, and payees can be entered and easily tracked. In addition, for each song you track, information such as lyrics, warnings, comment text, alternate titles, and themes can be appended. Powerful search criteria allow you to access information based on any of these categories.

Specifically, stored information for each song can be used to:

  • Generate and print royalty statements to writers, publishers, administrators, heirs, and other participants
  • Properly upload electronic income statements or licensing activity from societies, mechanical agents, and subpublishers
  • Track all the licensed uses of your songs in print, on CDs, and in commercials, films, and television programs
  • Automatically register songs with outside parties like the U.S. Copyright Office
  • Send Common Works Registration-formatted files to performance societies or mechanical agents
  • Send songs or song lists to industry contacts for perusal and possible licensing
  • Look up sound recording versions of each song

In short, anything you need to do to administer and track your music properties can be done more quickly, accurately and efficiently PTS.
